More informationFrequently asked questions about our housing offer
Accommodation
Can I apply for a room in a shared apartment or flat?
No, individual applications for multi-room apartments or shared flats are not possible. Only existing shared apartments that correspond to the number of rooms in the respective apartment can apply for our apartments. Rooms in existing shared flats are allocated by the current residents themselves, not by us. Look on platforms such as wg-gesucht.de or nadann.de.
Which place am I on the waiting list for?
After your application, you will be placed on the waiting list. As placements are constantly changing, we are unable to provide exact details. Instead, we will check when your application has been received and give a general estimate of waiting times based on current notices and inquiries.
All online applications submitted by you will be regarded as completed when you rent.
Can I view the accommodation before signing the tenancy agreement or moving in?
As the accommodation is usually rented until the last day before the new tenant moves in, we cannot offer organized viewings. However, you can visit the apartments yourself and perhaps the current tenant will let you take a look.
How long can I live in a residential complex?
The rental period is limited to ten semesters. A continuation of the tenancy beyond this is possible in many cases on request.
Do I have an Internet connection in my home?
Yes, through a cooperation with 1&1 Versatel, we offer a fast Internet connection in all residential complexes, which is included in the rental contract.
How does the broadcasting fee work?
Special rules for the broadcasting fee apply in our shared flats and residential complexes. Further information can be found on the detailed pages of the individual residences.
Where can I find other housing offers if I can't get a place with you?
You can look for alternatives in the surrounding communities or use the following platforms:
Are there more photos of the apartments or the rooms?
We provide you with all available photos on our homepage. If you are interested, we recommend that you visit the residential complexes in person and speak to any current tenants. As a rule, they are always happy to show you their living space.
Are there washing machines and dryers in the residential complexes?
Yes, there are washing machines and dryers in all residential complexes for a fee.
Parking
Are there enough bicycle racks at the residential complexes?
There are bike racks in most residential complexes. At some locations, we also offer bike boxes for rent for €10 per month. More detailed information is available on request from your property manager.
Are there enough parking spaces at the residential complexes?
The availability of parking spaces varies depending on the residential complex. Parking spaces are subject to a charge and cost €10 per month. You will receive further information on this together with your tenancy agreement.
Are there special parking spaces for the disabled?
Severely disabled tenants with a “G” permit can continue to park for free in our spaces. Please contact your local property management.
How can I book a parking space?
All our tenants will receive a separate email from the Student Accomodation department of the Studierendenwerk Münster with a link to a website for the respective parking space and an access code. Then simply register the license plate number on the page and select a payment method.
When booking a parking space, there is free choice of space in the respective parking area.
Can visitors park in the parking lot?
For third parties, one day costs €5, one week €15 and one month €50 plus a 15% processing fee from the provider. Short-term parking of less than one hour does not have to be paid for.
You will find signs with a QR code for the parking app in the parking areas. You can then book a parking space for visitors there.
I want to move soon, how do I do it with the removal van?
Short-term parking of less than one hour does not have to be paid for. Otherwise, you can book a day ticket for the removal van for €5 plus a 15% processing fee from the provider.
Please note: The free first hour is only valid for a total parking time of less than one hour without booking a ticket and will not be credited to your day ticket if you continue to park there.
I don't have my own car, I rent one. Do I have to pay extra for each car?
No, you simply register once with a license plate number. Once you are registered, you can change the license plate number online.
Why do I have to pay for a whole semester and can't book flexibly for one day / month?
The shortened periods (or pro rata refunds) mean more administrative work for us, which we cannot finance with a tariff of €10 per month. If necessary, you can always choose the more flexible rate for external tenants, in which case you will have to weigh up what is more worthwhile for you. Alternatively, you can also look for a new student tenant for your parking space, change the license plate number and come to an agreement.
