From 07.01.2026 BAföG Digital will be converted. The platform will therefore be unavailable for approx. 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately, no BAföG applications can be uploaded or processed during this time. Access to the user accounts is also excluded. After the changeover, logging in via BundID will be possible as usual.
Important notes
- Send applications that have been started
Applications that have been started must be sent within the application by 06.01.26 at the latest.
Drafts that have not been sent will not be accepted during the system changeover. - Upload documents
Missing documents should be uploaded before 07.01.26. - Deadlines
Anyone who has to submit an initial application in January should:- the application before the shutdown or
- after activation at the end of January via BAföG Digital
If this is not possible within the deadline, BAföG applications can also be
