Affordable living space is in short supply in Münster. We will therefore soon start building a new residential complex on our own property. As part of the construction preparations, clearing work will soon be carried out on the site of the residential complex at Gescherweg 70-84. Shrubs and bushes will be removed and some trees will also have to be felled. These preparatory measures are already being carried out now so that the necessary construction work can begin quickly once planning permission has been granted.
All measures were carefully coordinated in advance with the Building Regulations Office and the City of Münster’s Office for Green Spaces, Environment and Sustainability. We carry out the work together with the commissioned planning offices.
Specifically, 16 trees that fall under the tree protection statute will be felled. Replacements for these trees have already been planned for in the new outdoor area planning close to the previous location.
With this construction project, we want to make our contribution to counteracting the ongoing housing shortage for students and to ensure affordable accommodation near the university in the long term.
