The Counselling\/International\/Culture department works with and for students. The department is divided into the areas of social counseling, international affairs, studying with children and culture. Hello, I’m Barbara Tepe-Wrasmann and I’m head of the Counselling – International Affairs – Culture (BIK) department. I’ve been working at the Studierendenwerk for almost 20 years and have been actively involved in shaping the work of the social counseling service since it was founded. In addition to all the administrative tasks that come with managing a department, I am also responsible for providing advice to students, prospective students, university members and graduates in the transition between studying and working. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Responsibility and diversity<\/h4>

I particularly enjoy the variety and diversity of my work. On the one hand, taking responsibility for an organizational unit with all its organizational, personnel, administrative and management activities and, on the other hand, direct contact with students from all over the world and all universities in M\u00fcnster and Steinfurt to support them in their development and in finding individual solutions. It is often the close and good cooperation with colleagues from other departments and (university) institutions that not only gives me personal pleasure, but is also an important part of the success of our work for the students. <\/p>

2023 was the year after Corona, which once again enabled an active and varied program of events with in-person participation. The response to the events, the utilization of the offers, the development of new, demand-oriented events were a great success.
