Whether it\u2019s loading your cafeteria card, getting help with finding housing, or seeking advice on financing your studies, students will now have even easier access to the wide range of services offered by the Studierendenwerk M\u00fcnster. The new Central Information Point in the Mensa am Aasee brings together key services and counselling resources. At the same time, the Counselling – International Affairs – Culture (BIK) department has moved into its new offices at Bismarckallee 3. This means that all of the Studierendenwerk\u2019s administrative units are now located on Bismarckallee. <\/p>\n
First Point of Contact for Student Concerns<\/strong><\/p>\n Following extensive renovations, the Studierendenwerk opened its new Central Information Point\u2014ZIP for short\u2014at Bismarckallee 11 on Tuesday at noon. There, students can get an initial overview of the various services offered by the Studierendenwerk, including BAf\u00f6G, Accomodation, dining options, and social, international, and cultural topics.<\/p>\n At the advising desk, staff members listen to students\u2019 concerns, answer initial questions, and, if necessary, refer them to the appropriate contacts in the relevant academic departments. Separate advising offices are available for personal and confidential discussions. <\/p>\n Until now, the Studierendenwerk’s counselling services were spread across various locations. The new ZIP now provides convenient access, clear lines of responsibility, and easily visible entry points to these services. Students can resolve many issues right on site and receive prompt assistance if further counselling is needed. <\/p>\n New Spaces for Counselling \u2013 International Affairs \u2013 Culture<\/strong><\/p>\n At the same time, the Studierendenwerk unveiled the new offices of the Counselling \u2013 International\/Culture Department at Bismarckallee 3. Many of the department\u2019s counselling services and events will be able to take place at this location in the future. <\/p>\n The former office space has been transformed into a versatile venue for counselling, socializing, and group activities. A newly equipped kitchen provides space for cooking events and intercultural exchange. A foosball table encourages people to strike up conversations with one another. In addition, an exercise room with mirrors is currently being completed, which will be used in the future for sports, dance, and other physical activities. <\/p>\n The new spaces make it possible to integrate counselling and community programs more closely. At the same time, the physical proximity to the other departments of the Student Services Organization facilitates collaboration and shortens travel distances. <\/p>\n Dr. Christoph Holtwisch, Executive Director of the Sudierendenwerk M\u00fcnster, is pleased about the opening: \u201cWhether it\u2019s about financing their studies, Accomodation, personal challenges, or the desire for interaction and community, students will now be able to find the right support more quickly at Bismarckallee.
