Children often start dancing before they can even walk. They love music, moving to music, and especially when loved ones dance with them. In parent-child dance classes, we learn different ways to dance with our children and encourage their enthusiasm for dance. With simple, easy-to-remember choreographies and rhythmic movement sequences, we bring the joy of movement and music into our everyday lives with our children. Even without any prior experience, we dance to children\u2019s songs and our own favorite tunes. Young children can lie on the mat, dance along in our arms, or ride on our knees\u2014and they\u2019re always fully engaged. This way, they learn a great deal about their bodies and movement, about balance and the space around them, while dancing together with a happy parent. <\/p>\n
Please bring enough to drink for all dancers, young and old, as well as comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement, and, if necessary, non-slip socks or slippers for the children and socks for the adults.<\/p>\n
This class is designed for children aged 3 months to 3 years, accompanied by an adult. After giving birth, it is recommended that you complete a standard postpartum recovery program before participating in the class. <\/p>\n
This program is open to all students with children, university staff, and anyone interested. It is free of charge and requires no registration. <\/p>\n
Here’s some more information about the course instructors<\/strong>:<\/p>\n Yasemin T\u00f6re is a certified dance educator and mother; she works as a pediatrician and is studying dance at the German Sport University Cologne. Her passion is inspiring people from all walks of life to love dance.
