Dear students,
Unfortunately, there are currently considerable delays in the processing of BAföG applications. This is partly due to staff shortages and the introduction of new digitalization processes, which are not yet working as planned and are currently taking more time than they are saving.
We know that many of you are in urgent need of BAföG payments and we very much regret the delays that have occurred. Please be assured that we are working hard to catch up on the processing backlog as quickly as possible. We have already initiated initial countermeasures to improve the situation.
We ask for your understanding and assure you that we will do everything we can to shorten the processing times again.
